Siteimprove Quality Assurance

Overview

The Quality Assurance panel focuses on content quality and the user experience of your site. 

You can find the ‘Quality Assurance’ tool in the left navigation panel.

Inventory

The ‘Inventory’ tool provides information on all of your website’s content. This includes information about: 

  • How many pages are on your site 
  • Personal information like email addresses and phone numbers
  • Digital document hosted on your site, including PDFs 
  • Media files on your site, including images and videos 

Links

The ‘Links’ tool shows information about the broken links on your website. This includes information about:

  • Broken links 
  • Pages with broken links 
  • Broken links in PDFs 
  • Links to unsafe domains 

Broken links are separated into three sections: 

  • Confirmed broken links have a 404 HTTP status. 
  • Links to review require a real human to check if their links are broken. 
  • Dismissed links are any links that a Power User has decided is not a concern. 

Spelling

The ‘Spelling’ tool shows information about spelling trends on your website. This includes information about: 

  • Pages with misspellings 
  • Misspellings 
  • Spelling decisions 

Power Users can make spelling decisions about your site. 

Readability

The ‘Readability’ tool shows information about how difficult your website is to read. This includes information about: 

  • Which pages are most difficult to read 
  • Excluded pages 
  • Accepted words 

The readability test used on your website can be adjusted and Power Users can adjust which words are accepted on your website.
