Siteimprove Groups

What is a ‘Group’?

Learn more about What is a Group? - Siteimprove

A Group is a tool that is used to show certain sections of information on your website. Groups can be customized to include or exclude certain URL matches.

Why are Groups useful?

If you have a large website that has several subdirectories, you can set up a Group to let you see sections of your site. This is most useful when multiple editors are responsible for different areas of your website.

For example, if your site is ‘example.berkeley.edu’, you may want to set up:

  • A ‘Classes’ Group with a URL match of example.berkeley.edu/classes
  • A ‘News’ Group with a URL match of example.berkeley.edu/news

You would still be able to see data for your entire site, but could also breakdown your view by groups.

You'd still be able to view data for the entire site, but you could also view dashboards specific to the classes or news sections.

Groups are set up and managed by Power Users. Contact our departmental Power User if you have questions about your site.
