In preparation for the newly updated UC-wide IT Accessibility Policy (ITAP), Berkeley assembled a cross-departmental advisory committee and six working groups with members who have relevant subject matter expertise. The working groups identified gaps and solutions to improve digital accessibility, and provided the advisory committee with recommendations.
Four of the six working groups were facilitated by DAP team members:
- Digital Documents
- Procurement of Accessible Digital Products & Services
- Social Media
- Websites, Web Content, and Mobile Apps
The advisory committee will meet to review the working groups' recommendations and advise EVCP Hermalin on the implementation of a campus-wide digital accessibility initiative.
